Ingin punya email dengan akhiran domain sendiri? Misalnya saya@domainsaya.com, ganteng@domainsaya.com, dsb?

Dengan fasilitas dari Gmail plus nama domain sendiri, maka kita bisa mendapatkan email dengan domain sendiri, misalnya saya@domainpilihan.com, secara gratis. Bisa di akses secara web, pop3 dan forwarding. Tapi sebelumnya, pastikan anda telah memiliki sebuah blog dengan domain sendiri.

Yang dibutuhkan hanya 2 buah, yaitu:

1. Account email gmail.
2. Tempat pendaftaran domain yang menyediakan email forwarding gratis, misalnya DomainDiscover, Namecheap, Dynadot, Joker, Gandi, dsb.

Caranya juga sangat mudah:

1. Daftar email di gmail jika belum punya, silahkan bikin baru di www.gmail.com
2. Setting email forwarding di tempat pendaftaran domain dari domain kita ke email gmail kita.
Misalnya kita ingin alamat emailnya:
saya@domainpilihan.com
toko@domainpilihan.com
rumah@domainpilihan.com
Di setting agar forwarding ke email@gmail.com
3. Gunakan fasilitas Adding a custom 'From' address dari gmail.

Adding a custom 'From' address
Gmail's custom 'From:' feature lets you use Gmail to send messages with another of your email addresses listed as the sender in place of your Gmail address. This feature makes it easier to manage multiple accounts from the Gmail interface.
To add a custom 'From:' address:
1. Make sure you can sign in with the address you'd like to add. You'll need to access the other account before Gmail will let you send from it.
Please note: If you'd like to send from another Gmail username, be sure to sign up for the account first.
2. Sign in to Gmail.
3. Click Settings along the top of any page, and open the Accounts tab.
4. Under Send mail as, click Add another email address.
5. In the Name field, enter your full name.
6. In the Email address field, enter the email address you'd like to send from.
7. (Optional) When someone replies to a message you sent using a custom 'From:' address, the reply will be delivered to the 'From:' address rather than your Gmail address. If you'd like replies to be delivered to Gmail or a third account, you'll need to enter a 'reply-to' address. To do this, click Specify a different reply-to address and enter the email address you'd like.
8. Click Next Step >> and then click Send Verification. Gmail will send a verification message to your other email address to confirm that you own it.
9. Open your other account and either click the link in the message Gmail sent or enter the confirmation code in the Accounts section of your Gmail settings.

Catatan untuk Step no 9:
Karena email @domainsaya.com otomatis di forward ke @gmail.com tsb, maka setelah step 8 selesai, masuk kembali ke "Inbox" dari email @gmail.com tsb dan klik link di message yang ada (untuk konfirmasi).

Cara kerja email tsb adalah:
1. Semua email akan masuk ke @domainpilihan.com
2. Email tsb akan di forwarding otomatis ke email@gmail.com
3. Kita terima dan baca di email@gmail.com
4. Saat kirim email, gmail akan memberikan pilihan merubah "From" address menjadi @domainpilihan.com, bukan @gmail.com
Setelah semua steps beres, di uji coba dengan cara:

Untuk ujicoba incoming email:
1. Login di email selain …@gmail.com, boleh …@yahoo.com, …@hotmail.com, dsb.
2. Kirim email ke ...@domainsaya.com (Alamat email yg sudah disetting tsb), bukan ke ...@gmail.com, jangan lupa.
3. Login di ...@gmail.com, apakah email ke ...@domainsaya.com bisa masuk disana.

Ujicoba outgoing email:
1. Login di ...@gmail.com.
2. Kirim email ke alamat lain, selain ...@domain.com dan ...@gmail.com, boleh ...@yahoo.com, ...@hotmail.com, dsb.
Saat kirim email pilih "From"-nya sebagai ...@domainsaya.com
3. Login ke alamat lain tsb.
4. Lihat apakah ada email masuk dan perhatikan apakah Fromnya ...@domainsaya.com, bukan ...@gmail.com

Jika semua telah berhasil dengan baik, selesai deh email dengan akhiran domain anda sendiri.
